On Friday, May 24, 2013, Meridian wrapped up a successful week in Geneva, Switzerland after exhibiting at the 2013 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2013), the industry’s largest trade show in Europe. Meridian sent a team of five to fully represent the company’s various business units, including Air Charter, FBO, Aircraft Management, and Aircraft Maintenance.

The team found the show to be extremely productive by having the opportunity to meet new business contacts and future prospects. “From a marketing perspective, the show was invaluable,” explains Kirk Stephen, Marketing Manager at Meridian. “Since Meridian is based at Teterboro Airport (KTEB), the close proximity to New York City makes our location a key entry point into the United States from Europe. By having a presence at EBACE, we are in a much stronger position to present our company and its offerings to prospective customers who may be interested in our services.”

EBACE2013 reportedly drew a total of 12,353 delegates – an attendance on par with recent years. The attendees had an opportunity to visit 460 exhibitors, the third-highest number in the event’s 13-year history. The EBACE2013 Static Display exhibited 52 aircraft, which had more square footage than ever before, and was sold out with a waiting list. From a media standpoint, almost 30 press conferences were held throughout the show’s three days, and more than 400 reporters from news organizations around the world were there to cover the breaking news.

EBACE2013 was held May 21-23, 2013, and the 14th annual gathering will return to Geneva next year from May 20-22, 2014. Look for Meridian to be there!
