Meridian Supports TEB Scholarships

This past September, Meridian, the award-winning, full-service private aviation company based at Teterboro Airport (TEB), took to the links to support two important scholarship funds which help the local TEB community.

On September 10, 2012, associates from Meridian Air Charter and Meridian Teterboro participated in the 2012 Teterboro Airport Scholarship Golf Classic to support the Teterboro Airport Community Benefit Fund. The Fund helps the Teterboro Airport community by awarding 170 scholarships to local high school graduates aspiring to pursue higher education in aviation, engineering, and related fields of study. Meridian joined this worthwhile cause by sending a foursome of golfers to the event, which was held at Wild Turkey Golf Club in Hamburg, NJ. The company also sponsored the “Straightest Drive”, which was one of many contest holes. Player’s fees and sponsorships are donated to the cause.

On September 26, 2012, Meridian Jet Center participated in the 24th Annual Ed Furst Sr. Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing, which was also held at Wild Turkey Golf Club. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to the Teterboro PAMA Scholarship Fund, which was created to recognize and reward qualified students who have selected aviation maintenance as a career. While they did not win any prizes for best score, the foursome once again took home the coveted trophy for “Most Honest Team”.
