On Monday, September 24, Meridian sent a team of four to play in the 34th Annual Teterboro Airport Community Benefit Fund Scholarship Golf Classic, held at the Basking Ridge Country Club in Basking Ridge, NJ.
The proceeds from the event go to the Teterboro Airport Community Benefit Fund, which contributes to several scholarships in aviation. Overall, the event generates about $12,000 a year for local high school graduates.
Meridian continued its support this year by sponsoring the 9th hole and by participating in the festivities. While our team didn’t take a place on the podium this year, we had a great time playing and are proud to show our continued support to the event, the aviation industry, and our Teterboro community.

This past week, Meridian proudly supported the 33rd Annual Teterboro Airport Community Benefit Fund Scholarship Golf Classic, which was held at Basking Ridge Country Club in Basking Ridge, NJ. The golf tournament raises funds for the Teterboro Airport Community Benefit Fund, which create scholarships totaling about $12,000 for local high schools.

Due to the overwhelming success and generosity of businesses both on and off the airport, the Teterboro Airport Scholarship Golf Classic has permitted the Teterboro Airport community to award 200 scholarships to local high school graduates aspiring to pursue higher education in aviation or related fields of study.

Meridian sponsored a hole at the event and sent a team of three to play in the tournament, including Ron Palmer, Bob Platten, and Nehemias Camacho. The team managed to place 4th overall in the tournament and shot an impressive score of 67 strokes. While they did not come home with any hardware, the team still enjoyed a fun round of golf while they supported a great cause. Special thanks to our team and to everyone who made the event possible.
