
Teterboro, NJ, January 12, 2012 – Meridian Air Charter is pleased to announce that it has named Dan Govatos as its new Director of Operations. Mr. Govatos will have for responsibility for the Flight Operations Department, including exercising operational control, directing the execution of the company policies and procedures, and ensuring that all activities of the flight department, including flight operations, personnel, and equipment comply with company standards.
Mr. Govatos has over 20 years of aviation-industry experience, having worked extensively in private jet charter and global flight operations, particularly in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He is also an FAA-certified transport pilot, holding five aircraft type ratings, as well as being a licensed A&P mechanic. He is a graduate of Spartan College of Aeronautics Technology in Tulsa, OK, and completed his degree with honors.
