Meridian Partners with Footprints in the Sky

Teterboro, NJ – On Tuesday, January 8, 2013, Meridian was proud to partner with Footprints in the Sky to assist a patient who required medical attention in a distant location. Footprints in the Sky is a Denver-based, non-profit corporation dedicated to providing flights to medical facilities throughout the United States, for people in need of medical care, whether routine in nature, or critical and life-saving. Its goal is to provide humanitarian assistance to patients without the financial capability and resources to facilitate this travel for themselves.

Meridian was able to support this worthy cause by flying a patient who needed to travel from Chicago to New York for medical attention. The trip was made using a Bombardier Challenger 601 3-R, one of twenty-one managed aircraft in the Meridian fleet. The flight departed from Midway International Airport (MDW) in Chicago, IL and flew directly to Teterboro Airport (TEB) in New Jersey, located just minutes from New York City.

Dennis O’Connell, President of Meridian Air Charter, had this to say, “We are always glad to help out Footprints in the Sky, and other reputable organizations that support people in need. It’s one of the many ways that Meridian, and the Business Aviation industry in general, are able to give back.”

A large database of charter and business jets allows FOOTPRINTS to help those in need, by providing access within a few hours flight time to all appropriate destination cities. The Flight Resource Group, LLC manages the flight operations for FOOTPRINTS in the Sky. This aircraft management, consulting and advanced flight training company has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry.
