Meridian Unveils New Website

The new Meridian website reflects the company’s new strategic direction.

Meridian, the award-winning private aviation company, is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website, meridian.aero. Designed with the user experience in mind, the new site showcases the aviation services Meridian offers along with the company background, news, and details on the health and safety protocols in place. The new site incorporates many enhancements and easy-to-access navigation to provide users with in-depth information. It also incorporates a responsive design that allows the site to be optimized across multiple platforms, including tablets and smartphones.
The new website offers improved functionality in an uncluttered and visually-appealing design that lets users quickly find the information they want, including fuel prices, ramp fees and the ability to make a reservation. Other features include the ability to request a detailing quote, ask for information, provide feedback on our service, and direct contact information for each department or location.
Meridian’s new site coincides with the company’s strategic realignment of its business units, which will allow it to focus exclusively on its premier FBO business. The company will also continue to offer aircraft detailing, cleaning and decontamination services. “The streamlining of our business allows us to concentrate on continuing our customer-centric approach to consistently offer the best possible service,” said Steve Chandoha, President. “The redesigned website reflects our position as an industry leader and highlights what sets us apart.”
“In addition to updating the website to showcase the fresh vision for the company, the goal of the redesign was to provide visitors with an enjoyable user experience and ensure they find the information they are looking for,” said Kirk Stephen, Director of Marketing. “Our team spent a great deal of time developing and preparing the new site to be as informative, easy-to-use and productive for the user as possible. We think visitors to the site will be happy with the outcome.”
The site features dedicated pages for each of the company’s FBO locations that include complete details on their respective services, amenities and certifications. There is also a page for the Detailing department with a comprehensive overview of the wide variety of exterior and interior services available, as well as the cleaning and decontamination services they offer. Other sections of the site include an extensive photo gallery, company blog and links to social media.
“Outstanding service and a dedication to always putting the customer first has been a hallmark of Meridian for over 70 years,” added Mr. Chandoha. “The new website reflects our brand and the standards we are known for. We’re excited about the launch and think this new site will allow visitors to easily find the information they need about our world-class facilities and award-winning service.”

Among those onboard the PC-24’s maiden voyage were (l to r): George Antoniadis, President and CEO of PlaneSense, Dave Verani, VP of Sales and Marketing, and the plane’s two pilots, Jim Georgelis and TJ Schipano.

This week, Meridian was honored to host PlaneSense and its brand-new, swiss-crafted, Pilatus PC-24 Jet, the first of six that PlaneSense plans to add to its fleet over the next two years. The twin-engine, eight passenger jet touched down at Meridian Teterboro on the morning of March 14th as part of PlaneSense’s efforts to complete operational capabilities in airports that fractional share holders have expressed an interest in, or that are already serviced by the company’s fleet of PC-12 turboprops and Nextant 400XTi jets. Among those onboard were George Antoniadis, President and CEO of PlaneSense, Dave Verani, VP of Sales and Marketing, and the plane’s two pilots, Jim Georgelis and TJ Schipano.
The PC-24 is described by Pilatus as, “the only aircraft combining the versatility of a turboprop with the cabin size of a medium-light jet, and the performance of a light jet”. Many in the industry believe that the jet doesn’t fit into existing categories, so they created a new one: Super Versatile Jet (SVJ). In addition to being “off-road” compatible, the jet has outstanding short-field performance, even on unpaved runways! This offers the aircraft a vast amount of mobility, over 20,000 runways to be exact. Passengers will now be able to fly closer to their final destination like never before with the use of smaller airports. Furthermore, they will be able to avoid tedious administrative procedures at larger airports and reduce their ground transfer times to a minimum.
Aside from the aircraft’s performance, the PC-24 features a unique interior designed for comfort and functionality. Pilatus ensures its passengers that only the finest-quality materials were used to create its interior. Soft-leathers and rare hardwood cabinetry are just some of the features you can expect to find within the exquisite aircraft. As if this wasn’t enough, the PC-24 has a generous amount of cabin space for a medium-light jet allowing exceptional headroom for its passengers and crew.
We would like to thank PlaneSense for choosing Meridian when bringing their fleet to Teterboro. PlaneSense is a leading national and international provider of fractional aircraft ownership and private flight. We value them as a customer and truly appreciate their business. We look forward to seeing this beautiful PC-24 more often at both our Teterboro and Hayward FBOs.

Meridian, the award-winning private aviation company headquartered at Teterboro Airport, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of the former AIG hangar at the south end of the airport. The impeccably maintained facility sits on approximately two acres and includes a 22,000 sq. ft. hangar as well as 11,500 sq. ft. of office and support space.
Officially known as Meridian Hangar 107, the building is a welcome addition to the Meridian campus, providing the extra space and resources needed to support its bustling fuel, maintenance, and charter operations. Currently, Meridian’s main facility is located at 485 Industrial Avenue, which includes a 40,000 sq. ft. hangar and a 30,000 sq. ft. terminal.
The company is also constructing a brand new 40,000 sq. ft. hangar with 10,000 sq. ft. of office and support space at the airport. The project is being built up the street at 125 Industrial Avenue and is replacing an outdated 20,000 sq. ft. hangar that was built in 1956. The new facility is expected to be operational by December 2017.
Steve Chandoha, President, was enthusiastic about the new acquisition. “Teterboro Airport is surrounded by development with limited opportunities to expand, so we are extremely grateful to be able to add this well-maintained facility to our network. This state-of-the-art hangar and additional ramp space will afford us greater flexibility with our customers, especially during gridlock periods when our capacity is challenged. Now we have more options to fuel, park, and hangar aircraft, which translates into better service for our customers.”

Meridian Launches New Website

Meridian, the award-winning private aviation company based at Teterboro Airport (TEB), is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website, meridian.aero. The sleek, new design will provide visitors a unique digital experience that highlights the many aviation services the company has to offer. The design changes will be implemented across both web and mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones.

In addition to the new look, several functional enhancements were also made throughout the site. For example, a new section was added to the Home page called ‘Latest Updates’, which is dedicated to bringing current news from the company Blog to the front page. Customized content for announcements and special events will also be featured in this section. For even more news, a Twitter feed was added at the bottom of the Home page to keep site visitors up to date with the latest tweets.

In order to help draw and retain more international visitors, a translate tool on the menu bar was added at the top of each page. On the Meridian Fleet page, aircraft photos will now pop up and can be viewed in a slide show format rather than just be statically displayed. On the Contact Us page, there is now an interactive map showing the locations of the Meridian offices around the country. Directions to the offices are now easily available by clicking on the markers.

Kirk Stephen, Marketing Manager, says, “The Meridian website is critical to our communications strategy, which is to align the branding elements and trade dress across both print and digital platforms. It took almost a year of planning and development work to prepare the site for launch, which has resulted in a stronger and more distinctive presence. The goal of the redesign was to provide visitors with a more enjoyable user experience, and we think they will be happy with the outcome.”
