Las Vegas, NV – Meridian Air Charter, the charter business unit of Meridian, was formally awarded the Aviation Research Group/US (ARGUS) Platinum Rating at its exhibitor booth on Monday, October 10, 2011, the first day of the NBAA 64th Annual Meeting & Convention. Scott Liston, ARGUS Executive VP, presented the Platinum Award to Dennis O’Connell, President of Meridian Air Charter and Andrew Ladouceur, Director of Sales and Client Services.
The Platinum Rating is the highest level of the ARGUS Ratings. It is awarded to those experienced operators who meet the criteria for Gold and pass the ARGUS Platinum on-site safety audit. A Platinum Rating requires a well-developed Safety Management System, a clear and workable Emergency Response Plan, effective policies and procedures, and documented records for all major aspects of operations and maintenance within a flight department or charter company.
“We are honored to have earned the ARGUS Platinum Rating, which we at Meridian have worked very hard to achieve. Our Charter Group has always set the bar high for itself, but it’s a bonus for us to receive such a prestigious award and recognition from the industry leader in safety audits“, says Mr. Ladouceur.
